Called Richmond Plumbing and Heating after realizing the heat was not coming on in the house. I was surprised and pleased that they were able to send someone the same day. Mike and Keith showed up, assessed the boiler and figured out the issue right away. They went and picked up the part and came right back and finished the job. Had a new HVAC system installed by Richmond Plumbing and Heating in March 2024. 1st class all the way through from the consultation all the way through delivery of the unit. 1. When I met with Joe Vento, he was on time and thoroughly explained to me what he proposed and what he felt I needed. I previously had a unit that was undersized and was concerned about making the same mistake. He told me what would work and what would be overkill (thus avoiding any unnecessary costs). 2. The installers were top notch. Friendly, considerate, professional, and post-install they cleaned up everything. The place looked better after they left vs when they came in. The installation, in short, was great. 3. Cost. Compared to other proposals I received, Joe's pricing was the best when comparing apples to apples. 4. Most importantly, everything works great! With our crazy weather the past month I had the opportunity to test both the heat and AC. The furnace heated the house perfectly and converse is true for the AC. Since moving into my house in 1994 I have experienced water backups despite having several sump pumps which tended to overheat during continuous and heavy rain storms. Many plumbers have come and gone with poor band-aid solutions and little insight around the real problem. Last summer Chuck Plugues from Richmond Plumbing took a different approach. He was determined to figure out the root cause and would not accept a "we'll manage the water after it backs up solution". While doing another important plumbing job in my house, he came up with an idea that required some digging but eventually found broken PVC pipe that terminated two feet underground in the middle of my lawn. Rain water had no where to go except backup into my house and engage the sump pumps. Chuck and partner Anthony Fahallah found the problem, replaced the pipe and built out to a point of safe release. This was about nine months ago. Since that time, the sump pumps have never engaged, NEVER! When we have heavy storms, the water flows through pipes freely and releases away from the house. To sum up, we had 28 years of water backup. Thanks to Chuck, Anthony, and team from Richmond Plumbing, I am able to take naps during major storms without hearing the screaming sensors and sump pumps. Thanks Chuck: You are the best!

Richmond Plumbing was here to replace our 13 yr old boiler and hot water heater. The boiler stopped working in the middle of the night on Friday when it was 33 degrees outside. We called Saturday morning and someone was here to try and help that afternoon. First thing Monday the owner was here, reassessed the situation and worked with us to replace both items. After we discussed all of our options, he ordered replacements immediately and made sure his crew was here first thing Tuesday to do the work. The job would take two days so they worked with our availability and completed the water heater installation on Thursday. I have nothing but good things to say about the workmanship and everyone I had contact with. They made sure, both days, that everything was in working order before they left and took the time to explain everything they had done. They left my basement as they found it - no debris, no mess. Last, given the urgency of the situation (no heat or hot water for 3 days) that did not appear to factor into the cost. We did our research and can say with confidence that we did not overpay for their services. I would definitely recommend them - skilled individuals and just all around good people.

I had a sewer backup in the basement after the storm Ida on 9/2/21 and had a few plumbers who came to the house but did not resolve the problem until JOE D and AIDAN from Richmond Plumbing. They are not only professional and honest, but they are also very friendly and courteous. They provided a solution and a way to install a sump pump to the sewer last week. Called Richmond Plumbing for clog in kitchen sink. Joe and Vic arrived on time and removed clog. Joe suggested that pipes under sink should be replaced. I made appointment for last Monday and Zach replaced pipes. Noticed leak next day and Zach returned to repair it. He said leak was from a rotted pipe that he did not replace. Tried to fix it but was still leaking next day. I called Richmond Plumbing again and office arranged for Zach to come back and replace pipe. Zach and Timmy were very courteous and professional. Excellent Service – Finding water in my garage, I called Richmond Plumbing & Heating and received a quick appt. for the next day. The plumbers, Vince and Mike arrived early. They immediately began a house inspection to determine the source of the leak which turned out to be a cracked pipe in the dining room soffit. Extreme care was taken to protect the rugs and furniture and to only open the part of the wall necessary to remove and replace the broken pipe. Vince and Mike answered all our questions and were competent , courteous and professional. Overall, the service was timely and efficient.

We have a very old home...with some very old plumbing/pipes. Joe D and his assistant Victor were able to unclog a major clog in our bathroom tub AND bathroom sink. They worked very hard to do so and had to access the clogged pipe in an area that was difficult to access and work in. It's Father's day and my water heater starts to leak. Basement is flooded and tried to call a few plumbing companies. Some places didn't respond or didn't even want to be bothered. Finally I called Richmond Plumbing and right away I was in contact with a plumbing professional (Mike). We recently had all sorts of problems with our A/C with all the hot weather in July. Richmond plumbing was very responsive and sent someone out to check our filters and then again to check the freon on the A/C unit. We had a bathroom fixture issue and the plumber we use was out of town so we checked Angie's List and contacted Richmond at 1215am. They called early this morning and said they would be there between 12p and 4p which we expected to be be 4p to 5p. Forced air furnace & clogged sink issues (Google doesn't allow more than one review for a specific business per Google account, so I've combined two): My furnace stopped working from last winter. Called RP&H after a recommendation from my next door neighbor. The technician, Christian, came fairly promptly to inspect, found the cause (broken inductor motor), explained to us in detail how and why the motor failed (in simple, laymen terms that we could understand), checked on part availability, gave us the price, got our consent, went and got the part, returned and installed it all within 2 hours!! Christian was extremely friendly, very knowledgeable, and completely helpful in solving our issue. He also helped solve a decades-long thermostat issue we had due to the wiring of the original builder's subcontractor. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Second issue: completely clogged bathroom sink - A technician, Carmine, arrived early in the appointment time window, which is ALWAYS a plus for me. Our bathroom sink had been fully clogged for some time. FULLY, as in no drainage at all. As he was snaking and taking apart the pipes underneath, he explained everything to me as to what was causing the clog (soap turns to grease and over time clogs pipes). I expected to see globs of hair come out, but it was all soap scum; years of it :-( After clearing the pipe and two snake procedures, the clog was gone. We talked about NOT using any liquid, gel, etc, because they can damage pipes and in my experience, don't work all that well. He suggested a weekly flush of BOILING water, followed by sink hot water for a minute or two. The boiling water, in essence, turns the sludge back to liquid and helps flush the pipes. I have no shame in asking questions. Being a homeowner does not equate to knowing everything about my home!! Carmine was very friendly, knowledgeable, and did a first rate job. Once again, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

We just had a heating/ac unit put in our sunroom today by the guys at Richmond Plumbing Heating and Cooling. Mike, John and Edgar we the absolute best!!! They did a fantastic job; they are all so knowledgeable, professional and are all around great guys. The job was done to perfection - so clean, neat and organized - we could not be happier. I cannot recommend this company enough - they are the absolute best people to work with!!! Would give 10 stars if I could!!! Thanks, guys - so much. We appreciate you!!

The two men that came to my house were AWESOME! Their names are TYLER AND JUSTIN. I had a big list of what they had to do in the house just so the plumbing's up to date and fixed. They were here for a little bit more than 4 hours and they tackled everything that I had to do in the house, as far as plumbing. We had to replace two bathroom faucets with new ones, replace two hot water stems in both apartments for the shower, and then put a new wax seal on the basement toilet which was leaking all over the place. Normally an old house you run into problems and these faucets were so hard to take off It's like they were glued onto the sink. And when they didn't have the part they got it right away and they finished the job. I'll tell you one thing I am so very happy with Richmond plumbing and these two guys Tyler and Justin. They were so respectful to the people in the house They worked hard and properly in all aspects of their work. They say me a lot of money by telling me what I should do instead of what I was thinking about doing which was the perfect remedy for the things I needed to get done in the house. Tyler and Justin are very knowledgeable when it comes to plumbing and how to install things and how to take things out. I was fascinated to see them work and I learned a lot too as they teach me a trick or too, If there were any problems in the future with anything else in the house. I would definitely hire Richmond plumbing for all your plumbing needs. I'm just a customer. The only thing is I realize they're for all these years is that the price per hour is high but this is the world we're living in now. To me it was so worth it so worth it to get this done and this way I don't have to worry about plumbing for a long time. I just couldn't take it anymore seeing it the way it was in the house. I waited a little while so I could do all these repairs together and it was so worth it. In closing I just want to give a huge thank you to Richmond plumbing for resolving my issues in the house ,repairing and replacing everything, that was an issue. There is nothing like a piece of mind after you hire the right people for the right job. I'll give this company 5 out of 5 stars anyway of the week. I wanted to take a moment to write a outstanding review for the 2 professional plumbers Richmond Plumbing sent to rectify my severe plumbing issues. Carmine & Victor completed 2 major repairs in a days time saving the building I manage costly repairs from extensive water damage. They worked extremely hard to rectify the situation without taking a break while Maintaining the utmost cleanliness and professionalism throughout the day. I usually refrain from writing reviews but these 2 gentleman deserve praise for their superb work ethic & attention to detail. Had a clogged kitchen sink and Richmond Plumbing sent Mike to my house in about 30 mins. Mike was very knowledgeable and answered all the questions I had about my situation and plumbing in general. He also took great care of my home by bringing cardboard to protect the cabinet underneath the sink from getting damaged. Most importantly he cleared the clog with one round of snaking. Would highly recommend Richmond Plumbing and Mike if possible.
